DESCRIPTION
This webinar will provide an update of recent neuroscience advances in our understanding of adolescent and young adult brain risks, vulnerabilities and Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy (CTE) and adult cognitive-communication disorders including dementia, traumatic brain injury, stroke and age-related neurocognitive disorders. The scientific update will be followed by application and consideration for assessment, intervention and remediation. Finally, this webinar will explore interdisciplinary communication and avenues for enhanced outcomes.

LEARNER OUTCOMES
Upon completion of this webinar, participants will be able to:  

  1. Apply new neuroscientific research findings to clinical assessment
  2. Facilitate interdisciplinary communication related to patient cognitive-communication issues
  3. Describe new cognitive-communication research for intervention planning

SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION
Participants will be present during the live webinar in its entirety and complete an attendance verification and feedback survey in the Academy Learning Portal within one month of the live air date.
